Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics

It is a 4 year full time study program spread over eight semesters. The BS Business Analytics has emerged as dynamic degree program aimed to provide strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to the students who wish to harness the power of data analysis to facilitate decision-making processes in organizations and solve business problems. In today’s contemporary world, organizations are generating massive data which demands professionals who can analyze and correctly interpret it for cost efficiency and strategic drive. With the help of proper data analytics, organizations can achieve more significant revenues, more informed decisions, and improved operational efficiency.

Therefore, it is the need for time to develop professionals who can fulfil the future needs and become part of the future workforce. The BS Business Analytics will pave a path for graduates to work for different industries at different positions such as business analysts, operations analysts, people analysts, financial analysts, and market or consumer analysts.

Program Objectives

The objective of the four-year program is to create a highly skilled talent pool that is academically exceptional and practically sound. This is ensured by:

  1. Developing students who can recognize, comprehend, and apply the language, theory and models of data science to the field of business.
  2. Equip students with advanced analytical skills and knowledge of statistical techniques, enabling them to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  3. Provide students with a solid foundation in business principles, ensuring they understand the broader context in which data analysis is applied and can effectively translate insights into actionable business strategies.
  4. Cultivate a strong sense of ethical responsibility among students, emphasizing the importance of integrity, transparency, and fairness in data analysis and business decision-making processes.
  5. Enable the student to critically assess, synthesize and resolve complex structured and unstructured business problems.
  6. Foster an aptitude for innovation, business improvements and entrepreneurship.
  7. Impart a sense of ethical decision making and instill a commitment towards the welfare of the organization in particular and society in general.
  8. Assisting students in enhancing their problem-solving abilities, as well as their oral and written communication skills, alongside their decision-making capabilities.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the BS Analytics Program a candidate must have: Intermediate or Equivalent qualification with at least 3 subjects from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, Computer Science from a recognized Board or University.

Admission merit is determined on the past academic record. The academic record is evaluated by giving weighted percentage marks obtained in Matriculation, F.A./F.Sc. or its equivalent examinations. The net merit is calculated by the following academic formula. [75% Academic + 25% Enter Test]

25% Marks Obtained in Matric + Marks Obtained in Inter + 20 Marks of Hafiz-e-Quran (if applicable)
                               25% of Total Matric Marks + Total Intermediate Marks

Award of Degree

For the award of BSBA (BS Business Analytics) degree, a student must have:

  1. Passed courses totaling at least 132 credit hours from the courses given below.
  2. Completed an Internship and a Capstone Project under the supervision of a member of the faculty and submitted a detailed project report.
  3. Obtained a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 or higher out of a maximum of 4.0.
  4. Fulfilled other requirements outlined in the rules & regulations.
